Oh Happy Days

This photo was from July when I made a trip down to the Singapore Art Museum with Kuen Kuen. I kinda forgot about it because I was trying to edit all my photos from my California trip so that I could upload them but I gave up in the end. One day I'll finally upload all the photos from the trip. Some day!

Walter was the main reason I wanted to visit the museum, because the previous time I procrastinated visiting till Walter was gone and I was upset because I never knew if they were going to put it back up, so when I saw they put Walter back, I made KK accompany me to the museum after one of my many job interviews. 

Another reason was to visit Art Garden, the children's exhibit hahaha. We actually wanted to head straight to 8Q where Art Garden was, but the lady at the counter said, "Don't you want to visit the other exhibits first?', so we had to sheepishly make our way inside the main museum.

Perhaps I am an extremely uncultured pleb when it comes to the arts but I had NO idea what was the point of majority of the exhibits and I couldn't appreciate them one bit. There are a few I liked in the Terms & Conditions exhibit but I enjoyed myself a lot more at the Art Garden hahaha, everything was cute and cheery! I loved the Around the World in Eighty Days exhibit by Vincente Delgado and Stellar Cave II by Julien Salaud. I don't have any decent photos of these exhibits because photography isn't allowed and my sneaky iPhone photos are really shitty.

Ahh, those were the days we could just pop by a museum on a weekday because there wasn't anything else for us to do and weekdays and weekends blurred into each other because there wasn't a need to differentiate them. Meh. Growing older and having responsibilities suuuuuck.

What I Wore: 19/8 - 23/8 (week 1)

I don't know how to get rid of the glare of the sun coming through from my windows and it's annoying me!!! I also don't know why my photos look terribly LQ. These aren't meant to be fashion-y shots btw, just wanted to document what I'll wear for three months of work! I included a photo of the shoes I wore, because in some photos I'm not wearing any shoes, oops. Also because I only have 5 photos and the alignment would be weird if it wasn't 6 *picky*

My shoes are so grubby omg they look disgusting. My kitty flats are also worn out, one of the seams came out while I was wearing them and the back of the shoes are totally worn and disgusting. The way I walk is atrocious. Meanwhile, I'm frantically searching for replacements on taobao but all the results that come out are the poorly made kinds e.g., poor stitching, badly cut ears. The best ones I found are $40, it's still a whole lot cheaper than the real deal but I'm intending on buying two pairs (as backup lol I really love these shoes) so $80 is a bit too much! I hope I find a decent pair soon.

My first week of temping is over! Work is okay, it has been mostly data entry and checking through surveys. Not the most glamorous job in the world but it's still a job nevertheless. I'm also a very careless person so a lot of times I find myself frantically going back to previous surveys to correct my errors :/ 

I haven't gone on the Internet much this week, because as soon as I get home I cook my dinner and by the time I'm done with eating it's almost 8pm, and then I'll usually vegetate on the couch or my bed for awhile before bathing. After I take a shower it's about 9 or 10pm, and I'll most likely head off to bed because I can't function during the day if I sleep later than 12am. 

It's horrible!!! I feel like I don't have much of a life. Perhaps when I get used to this my life will balance out a bit more. Hopefully. By Friday I was already having a headache, most likely due to the lack of sleep and hours of staring at a screen.

I slept till 12pm today and it felt great!! Can't wait to catch up on Attack on Titan episodes later. Lots of chores to do as well!

Came across Totokaelo while blog surfing and immediately fell in love with the styling. I'll never be able to afford any of the pieces but I wish the contents of my wardrobe looked exactly like this!

In My Bag: First Day of Work in Months Edition

I'm finally going to be starting work tomorrow (just as a temp, haha) after almost four months of bumming around! The pay isn't fantastic or anything, but I think it might be better than a retail job. I've only ever worked retail, so this will be something new. It actually feels like internship all over again because of the pay, how I have to get my supervisor to sign a time sheet, and the duration of my temp job. Fingers crossed everything will go well!

I decided to do an In My Bag post, just to mark the occasion hahaha. If you know me well you'd know that one of my favourite internet things is In My Bag posts. I love them. I actively seek them out. 

My bag. An imitation bag I got off taobao.com *no shame* I haven't used it actually, but I thought it would do well as a work bag. Knowing me, I'd probably rotate around my bags. I might even decide to switch it last minute tomorrow.

Guts of my bag. File for my time sheets, a pen, planner, makeup bag, iPhone, iPod and it's pouch, a book in case I have to eat alone for lunch lol, wallet, train card pouch, pouch for my charger cable and portable charger, keys, pouch containing my film camera. Lots of pouches, basically.

My film camera! It's so cute and handy, although I must have dropped it too many times on gravel because some parts are chipped away :( I have yet to develop a roll of film from it yet though lol oops.

Contents of my makeup bag. Sooo many lip products, I don't understand. I think it's because I usually toss whatever lipstick I'm wearing for the day inside for touch ups and I don't bother taking out the lipstick from the previous round. The Hello Kitty plastic container is for hair ties and bobby pins.

That's all for what's in my bag! Although, if I've been carrying a bag around for more than a few days it's probably littered with used tissues and fliers and whatnot, just saying, hahaha.
